Welcome to KidFolk & Co., a proudly Canadian, women-owned small business specializing in handmade sensory play products, colourful creations, and a whole lot of childhood magic!

We’re Chandi and Amanda, two creative moms, best friends, and the hands and hearts behind KidFolk & Co.

What started as a friendship built through motherhood and a shared love of creating has grown into something beyond our wildest dreams: a small business dedicated to bringing colour, creativity, confidence, and imagination into the lives of children and families across Canada.

Our Story: From Motherhood to Making Magic 💚

Our story began long before KidFolk & Co. ever existed.

We originally met over a decade ago while working at the same shopping mall. Although we were always friendly, life hadn’t quite brought us together as friends just yet.

Fast forward to 2021, when we discovered we were both pregnant and, unbelievably, shared the exact same due date!

Chandi was expecting her second child, and Amanda was preparing to become a first-time mom. What started as a simple offer of friendship and support quickly blossomed into something special.

Between sleepless nights, late-night conversations, and navigating motherhood together, we discovered just how much we had in common, especially our love for all things creative.

We spent countless nights dreaming up ideas, making things with our hands, and finding little ways to bring joy into the everyday chaos of raising tiny humans.

Then one day, a simple “Could you imagine if we started a business together?” turned into something real.

Within hours, we had a name, a logo, a vision, and the beginning of what would become KidFolk & Co.

We decided to jump in with both feet, follow our creativity, and see where a little childhood magic could take us.

And we haven’t looked back!

At KidFolk & Co., we believe childhood should be bright, imaginative, messy, magical, and full of opportunities to explore.

Every product we create is thoughtfully designed to encourage hands-on creativity, sensory exploration, imaginative play, and self-expression.

Our handmade collection includes:

● Magic Dough: Soft, scented, colourful sensory play dough made for squishing, shaping, and endless imaginative adventures.

● Magic Slime: Thick, glossy, stretchy, and wonderfully satisfying handmade slime. We’re on a mission to make parents slime believers again!

● Magic Potion: Colourful, fizzy sensory play powders that transform water into bubbling, shimmering magic.

● Glittery Hair Gel: Salon-quality, scented, sparkly hair gel designed to add colour, confidence, and a little extra magic to every hairstyle.

● DIY Sensory Play Kits: Creative, hands-on activities that let kids become the makers of their very own magic.

● Handmade Sensory Accessories: Unique resin creations, eco-friendly play tools, colourful charms, and imaginative little treasures.

From sensory playtime and birthday celebrations to classroom gifts, holiday surprises, and everyday adventures, we create products that make ordinary moments feel extraordinary.

We’re proud to create our products by hand in Norfolk County and Paris, Ontario.

We believe that what goes into our products matters just as much as the magic they create.

That’s why we prioritize thoughtfully selected ingredients, non-toxic materials, biodegradable glitter, plant-based PLA accessories, and eco-conscious options wherever possible.

Our products are made in small batches with attention to detail, vibrant colours, playful textures, and plenty of personality.

We don’t believe childhood needs to be beige!

We believe in bold colours, big imaginations, glitter-covered smiles, and giving children the freedom to express themselves.

Every jar, kit, and handmade creation represents countless hours of experimenting, creating, perfecting, packaging, and pouring our hearts into something we’re proud to share.
